The latest buzz is that the film might be released on January 8th or January 12th. Directed by Shekhar Kammula, the film has been produced by M.Saravanan, M.S.Guhan, Aruna Guhan and Aparna Guhan under film under AVM Productions banner. ‘Leader’ is AVM’s 174th movie. Inside sources say that the producers of the film are waiting for the political uncertainty in the state to subside and only then the film will be released. However, the director of the film, Shekar Kammula is said to be very keen on releasing the film later this week or on January 12th. Apparently, the story of the film has a lot of similarity with the current political scenario in the state and Shekar Kammula is confident that the current political crisis and unrest will be an added advantage tothe film. He’s now trying to convince the producers to release the film as soon as possible. The film has already completed its Censor and the first copy of the film is ready as well.Richa Gangopadhyay and Priya Anand are making their debut in Telugu film industry with Leader. Shekhar Kammula has also written the story apart from directing this film. Mickey J Meyer has composed the music for this film. Thota Tharani is handling the art direction and production design and Vijay C.Kumar is handling the camera.
