HYDERABAD: Lending credence to the speculation that Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu is planning to move to Delhi to play a bigger role at the national level after the 2014 elections, the party's senior leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu has said that many people in the country wish to see the former chief minister as prime minister.
Speaking with reporters here on Sunday, Muddukrishnama Naidu said that as TDP chief was the best administrator in the country, many wanted him to become prime minister. "The TDP chief has already emerged as a national leader and is coordinating with leaders of all regional parties.
The recent surveys have indicated that the Congress will be pushed to the third place in the country and the third front of regional parties will come to power.'' Who will become chief minister in the event of the TDP winning a majority number of seats in the state? Will it be Balakrishna? "It will be decided by the party in a democratic fashion after the 2014 elections,'' the TDP leader said.
On Obulapuram mining lease issue, he demanded immediate resignation of home minister Sabita Indra Reddy who was the minister of mines then.
He objected to the sacking of Sankar Rao from the cabinet and sparing Sabita.
YS Rajasekhara Reddy started all his schemes and padayatras from Chevella.
Likewise, corruption too started from Chevella with the connivance of Sabita, he alleged and demanded the arrest of KVP Ramachandra Rao and Ambati Ramababu in the Emaar case.
Ridiculing the government for the cancellation of prime minister's visit, he said the state government made a false promise of creating 15 lakh jobs. If it was sincere, it should post on the Internet the list of the one lakh youths who got jobs, he demanded.
