Brother...it is not a question of..SINCHE SHE LOVED HIM....in LOVE..BOTH PARTIES have to have equal feelings, respect and readiness to sacrifice for each other. That is why they went in for marriage.

Now, isnt the guy supposed to UNDERSTAND her backdrop, her lifestyle and accordingly ..try to ease things by talking to his parents and explaining them her backdrop and convince them not to comment on her lifestyle or for that matter..ask them to be more DIGNIFIED..by not resorting to gutka.matka and other rubbish ???

If the girl says her problem to the hubby, the gutter guy would only think the girl has gone crazy and is disrespecting his parents. I highly doubt if he would for a second think from the girl's view point.

In this case, the GUTTER GUY just fished patiently and let the GOLDFISH fall into trap.
