amir Khan’s latest blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ will soon be remade in Telugu and Tamil. The original version has been raking in moolah as if there’s no tomorrow and trade pundits predict that it will easily cross the box office collections of Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’. The massive hype surrounding ‘3 Idiots’ triggered an unprecedented frenzy among regional film producers to vie for the remake rights especially in Telugu and Tamil. Finally, the rights were procured by Gemini Films Circuit for a whopping sum of Rs.10 crores to remake the film in Telugu and Tamil. Gemini Films Circuit had earlier produced films like Shankardada MBBS and Shankardada Zindabad which were remakes of Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai respectively. Both these films were blockbusters.
Another buzz is that Gemini Films Circuit is planning to approach either Mahesh Babu or Pawan Kalyan to play the lead role in this film. Both these stars have a massive fan following across the state and the producers feel that these two stars would be apt for Aamir Khan’s role. We will have to wait and see which of these two stars give their final nod to the movie. More details about the cast and technicians is yet to be revealed.
