Vijayawada tops in SEXUAL harassment!

As per the statistics of National Crime Records Bureau for last year, our Andhra Pradesh which accounts for nearly 7% of India’s population accounted for 13% of crime cases against atrocities on women, mainly sexual harassment.

Adding to this dubious distinction, State has even accounted for 30 % of the sexual harassment cases registered in the country. Of these 30% cases major chunk is taken by vijayawada which is normally termed as “eve teasers paradise”.

Among the 35 cities analyzed by the National Crime Records Bureau in the country, Delhi topped the list with 17.5%, followed by vijayawada and Hyderabad with 7.8 per cent of the cases.
