american soldiers were caught off gaurd  , when suddenly a terrorists were trying to provide cover fire for some for their members to sneak past the mountain pass that  was being gaurded

the GI who was then resting had no time to pull up his pants and save his gaurd, so just defended the post with his undies...

after this artcile was printed in The  Times, White House reported to have issued a statement.

Mother of the soldier Boyd has asked for forgiveness from the president, president obliged and in a written statement issued by whitehouse said Soldier did the right thing in taking gaurd immediately and saving troops from loosing the post.
