u cannot take that risk unless it is obvious.... what is the umpire doesn't call it a wide? we cannot do anything about it and everyone would be cursing him saying "he got so much width, he must have whacked his bat and the ball must have gone to the fance..... better u play a ball which is wide than taking that risk the next ball and if it is a probing half stmp line and you miss it....."
