k2s Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Hi IL's, I'm a new member and this is my first post. I really love this site. There is so much information in this site. Let me introduce myself.. I'm married for 9 years and have 2 kids. I had many tough ups and downs in this marriage. But by God's grace, my life is manageable. My problem is, Whenever I am unhappy with my husband( like after a fight), I go back to my college days. When I was in college, one of my classmate proposed me. But since I didn't know this guy, I ignored his proposal. But during the second year, he again proposed me,but I was adamant and only agreed to be friends with him. Hence we would talk occasionally. Always he took the initiative to talk. I realised he was a good guy. But I didn't want to fall into love, since I thought it was only infatuation. Though, he would ask whether I loved him many times, my answer would be"I like you as a good friend". But in my final year I really loved him, but I didn't have any courage to tell him as I always thought my parents will not support all this. So my answer was always the same "NO". He waited for 4 years for me to change my decision. Then he gave me an ultimatum. I clearly told him that I DIDN"T LOVE HIM even though I loved him very much. After this we never spoke or see each other. After 1.5 yrs he called me to wish me for some feast. We spoke casually like friends and hung up. After some days I got a proposal for marriage(from my now husband). Everything was good. Got married. (underwent a lot of torture etc etc, which I will post in another thread). so after 4 years of marriage, I met this classmate of mine through orkut again and we exchanged email (not so frequently, but we were in contact). We talked casually again (nothing about love) just like two friends. When my husband used to fight with me, to get peace of mind I used to write emails to him(not complaining about my married life or fight). Now , my friend is happily married and he has a lovely wife. I like her and she is my friend too. I met both of them when I was in India. He has told her everything about us(thats what he said to me before he got married when he was dating her. I don't know what he said about me, nor did I ask him). So when we met, I could still see that feelings for me in his eyes. Even now we exchange2-3 emails a year. Now what is eating my head is , I feel I should have told him the real reason when he gave me an ultimatum(That is I loved him, but due my family and circumstances, I couldn't accept him). I feel like writing him a long email saying that I had loved him etc etc. But again I feel I shouldn't cause it may cause chaos in his married life. Also since he knows that I had troubled marriage, He may think that since I am not happy, I am repenting.(I know I am really repenting). He waited for me for 4 years!! and I just hurt him. This thing is eating my head from past 9 years.I don't want to be a intruder in anyone's life. So I have turned up to you ladies to give me a valuable solution to ease my dilemma. I hope you ladies will help me!!
