War of Words Between TV9 & Sakshi

Sakshi media till now fought the media battle of words only on one front i.e with ETV & Andhra Jyothy. But this night the Sakshi is leading bitter battle of words with TV9. This evening Ram Reddy also known as Priyadarshini Ram has openly blamed TV9 too for broadcasting the news about "YSR's death". He said that while the TV9 broadcasted the story around 45 minutes before the Sakshi's broadcast, the police acted on Sakshi while letting of TV9. He wondered in such circumstances why didn't the police arrest the TV9 people. He hinted indirectly that the Rosaiah's government is targeting only Sakshi and TV5 while letting off channels like TV9.

This has clearly taken the TV9 channel off guard. It was just this morning that TV9 extracted an "apology" from the Hindu paper for publishing on its paper that TV9 along with TV5 and Sakshi were slapped police cases.

After the statement by Ram Reddy, the TV9 has become very aggressive. It has challenged the Sakshi media and TV5 to prove that TV9 too instigated the people by excessively broadcating the story. TV9 said that, in fact it is one of the few channels who tried to dismiss the story about YSR's death as speculative while the Sakshi went overboard with it.

TV9 challenged the Sakshi, NTV and TV5 to prove anything wrong in TV9's programs which they claimed to have toned down the level of protests two days back.

Looks like Sakshi's enemity with the TV9 is now in the open. TV9 has been angry with the Sakshi since a long time as Sakshi lured many of its star news readers like Swapna who jumped from TV9 to Sakshi. Before the Sakshi TV was established most of the government's Ads were given under the then YSR's government to TV9. This led to a tremendous increase in the revenue of TV9. However after Sakshi TV was established, TV9 was conveniently ignored by the YSR's government. Sakshi media led by YS Jagan is also angry with the TV9 for indirectly supporting TDP through its programs before the last assembly elections.
