Absurd theatrics - Adhurs stopped in Telengana

Tollywood's worst fears have come true. NTR Jr-starrer “Adhurs” has been targeted by Telengana activists. This time the lead has been taken by KCR’s daughter Kavita. She said that NTR Jr. has not come out in open support of Telengana and more over is working with producers who have supported the Samaikhyavadi movement. She said that the Venkatesh-starrer Namo Venkatesha has been spared because people associated with him have not come out in support of Samaikhyavadam. But analysts say that the issue is not with NTR Jr. Instead it is with Nandamuri Harikrishna (father of NTR jr) who has openly declared his support for Samaikhyavadam. Ms. Kavita on live TV called upon distributors in Telengana not to buy movies made by Andhra producers who have declared their support for Samaikhyavadam. Whether it is advice or a threat depends on where you are coming from. But this kind of absurd pressure tactics will have an adverse impact on Tollywood.
