What Is H1B Amendment ?

recently my friend moved from one client to another client in different state.

do he need to do H1b amendment ? or applying LCA for the new client location(state) is enough ??

Amendment is required only when you are going for stamping. Suppose X state lo unapudu ne h1B file chesi approve aindhi..at the time of visa stamping you are in Y state, then your current H1B has to go thru the amendment procedure for New Client location. It costs around 1500 for amendment.

If you change client and not going for stamping then getting a new LCA is enough for which employer wudn't charge you ( atleast most of them wont charge)

Yes, I work on % basis..so my employer wont bear any of these expenses...lawyer fee etc etc anni kattali
