AFRIDI NOT SOLD!

12:10 IST: Bidding starts! Shahid Afridi is the first name in Round One with a base price of USD 250,000. And surprise, surprise, Afridi is not picked up. That didn't even take two minutes to decide. And if this is the case with Afridi, there's not much of a chance that the other Pakistani players will have.

MUMBAI INDIANS WIN TIEBREAK FOR POLLARD

Next up is Kieron Pollard with a base price of USD 200,000. Punjab, Mumbai and Chennai battling it out. Deccan throw in their hat at USD 500,000. The final round is being played between Mumbai and Chennai. No others in the fray right now. And suddenly, there's a tibreaker between Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chennai at USD 750,000. This is the first tiebreaker in the auction. They have five minutes to decide how much extra they will bid for, except that this money will go into the IPL's kitty and not to Pollard's bank account.

Chennai, Deccan, Rajasthan and Punjab are the only teams who can bid now as they have both the money and the places left. Rajasthan can pick two players, while others will pick one each.
