unless u have connections or u r christian its next to impossible

Its so easy in US..Loads of ppl adopt ppl even though they have their own and they look after them equally well

Hopefully I will adopt somebody in US in the next 2-3 years

I know a desi family in Bay Area who adopted

they sat on the decision for 2-3 years..and finally decided that given the number of kids who need parents it will be selfish and vulgar on their part to add their own to the world when they can help somebody who is already here by adopting them

For each their own

To adopt somebody..we need to stop loving ourselves too much and being self important

Its just not in our culture
