When a news channel asked him why he introduces so many controversial subjects in his films, he admitted that he purposefully inserts them in his films to gain publicity.He also admitted that the has very poor knowledge of politics. He said "In fact I do not even know the Chief Ministers of many states of India, leave alone the central ministers".In the same vein he also said that he is really disgusted at the way the TV channels are "making" news in order to raise their TRP ratings and his upcoming film Rann deals with this subject. This statement has obviously annoyed the TV9 anchor Rajanikanth.When asked about his stand on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, he said that he would stand by Lagadapati as he has confidence that Lagadapati would always take correct stand. But he also admitted that he is not aware of the problems being faced by the Telangana people.
