Naidu, The Thief Who Is Never Caught

Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi, widow of former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao, described Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu as the “biggest thief who is never caught.”
Reacting sharply to Naidu’s comment that YSR Congress is a party of “dacoits,” Lakshmi Parvathi told the media in Anantapur on Wednesday that Naidu himself was the biggest of all thieves and dacoits.
“Fortunately for him, the officials have thrown up their hands on getting evidences against him. So, he is openly and brazenly moving in the public. Otherwise, he would have been in the jail by now,” she said.
The NTR’s widow said there were several evidences to prove that Naidu had amassed huge wealth in the name of his benamis.
“There is no bigger corrupt leader than Naidu. But he has the ability to manage the police, investigating agencies and even courts and see that there were no inquiries against him,” she pointed out.

The Minister for Housing, Mr Kanna Lakshminarayana, on Monday said that the TDP president, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who was familiar as “corruption king” has no moral right to talk about anti-corruption movement.
Speaking to mediapersons in his chamber in the secretariat, Mr Lakshminarayana said that Mr Naidu was enacting dramas on corruption to derive political mileage. The nine-year regime of Mr Naidu was a period of scams and irregularities. He alleged that funds to the tune of several crores were swindled in the guise of Janmabhoomi and ‘Clean & Green’ programmes during the previous TDP Government.

The Minister reminded that in an investigative news story, the website www.tehelka.com had termed Mr Chandrababau Naidu as the richest politician in the country. Actually, the properties owned by Mr Naidu were more than that were detected by the website, he added.

Claiming that the Congress government was ensuring transparency in the governance to curtail corruption, Mr Lakshminarayana said that “Rachchabanda” programme was taken up by the government in order to get feedback from the people and to plug loop holes in implementation of the welfare schemes.
Referring to the voice of Mr Naidu against corruption, the Minister suspected that it was meant to misguide the people and to gain political mileage. The TDP and its leader, Mr Naidu, have lost confidence of the people in the State, he added. (NSS)
