An electric wire 40 meters is made into two pieces. 1st part of the wire is used to form a circle with radius r, and the other part of the wire is used to form a square. What is the total area, in square meters, of the circular and the square regions in terms of r?

Circle...dani perimeter = 2*pi*r = 20mts (considereing the wire was split into two equal parts)

so r = 70/22

Square = dani perimeter 20meters anukunte... 4 (a=side of square) = 20 implies a= 5mts

area of square = 25sqmts..

inka r ki 25 ki relation veskovali....

pi r square + a square area vesko answer vastai...

[(40-2πr)[sup]2[/sup]+(16πr[sup]2[/sup])]/16
=
[1600-160r+r[sup]2[/sup](16π-4π[sup]2[/sup])]/16

circle area 2πr=x anukundam... appudu square ki use chese wire length 40-x......... so one side of square would be (40-x)/4 total area of square and circle is [(40-x)/4][sup]2[/sup] + πr[sup]2[/sup]

Substitute x=2πr

assume length of the wire 2L...
two halves antey L for square and L for wire..

circular perimeter = 2 pi r which equals L
perimeter of square = L
square has 4 sides..therefore. one side = L/4
side of square = L/4 = (2pi r)/ 4 = (pi r /2)
area of square =( pi * r * pi * r )/4 area of circle = Pi* r * r
