I94 expire aina u can stay in US until u have a valid visa...
oka vela extension lo unte once ur extn is approved u can go back and get ur new i94.new i94 ivvali ante ur visa needs to be stamped.
konni cases lo visa extn raadanikey 6 months padutundi it doesnt mean u need to leave....if ur visa is rejected i think u need to leave within 21 days....

nope...no 6 months duration or grace period..

application pending lo unnapudu I94 expire aite..u need to leave the country.....thats mandatory..

Visa is not the legal document for entry/exit dates..its only the I94 given by CBP

usual ga visa validity varaku istaru....incase takkuva iste..u need to leave the country even if ur visa is still valid....

Processing lo unnapudu I94 expire aite..out of question u will be considered illegal...

You can work till 240 days while your h1 visa is expired and pending for extension.
If even after 240 days period if the visa is not approved(decision not made) you need to stop working.
But suppose if the visa/extension is denied, you will be out of status from the day your H1 expired

(The penality for overstaying more than 6 months is 5 years ban for US re-entry)
So the best option is to upgrade to premium if your visa extension is getting delaying behond 4 months

You can not work beyond 240 days( provided you have filed the extension before your I-94 is pexpired)
If you do not get extension even after 240 days, you should stop working

I had similar experience in past, done extensive research and got info from attorneys

USCIS will accept the petion even after 1-94 expiry,if you show valid excuses/reasons
But they will not send fresh I-94 along with the approved petition. You have to leave the country and get stamping

Visit this link for 240 days rule info ->
