Screen Talk: Puri's Apology For TV9

When the film 'Neninthe' released, it happened to rub few entities on the wrong side but at the same time few messages of apology were conveyed in a subtle manner to certain channels of media. This has got few members onto a probing mode trying to figure out as to what is the history of all this gesture.

It is heard that during the time of 'Chirutha', Puri Jagannadh is said to have got into a scuffle with the TV9 channel and much to his dismay, during the canning of his next film 'Bujjigadu' when he and hero Prabhas came up with an interview from a foreign location and sent it to the TV9 folks for airing, only Prabhas's interview was seen and Puri was nowhere to be seen.

He is said to have got the message and then when 'Neninthe' came, he managed to include two scenes in the film and conveyed it clearly that there was nothing against the media channels. The TV sources say that all that was part of his exercise to say that he was apologizing for his earlier tiff.
