Works with component suppliers to obtain necessary information/ documentation to enable successful implementation of parts in the design. Completes assigned circuit designs using schematic entry tools. Works with Lead Electrical Engineer and Simulation to obtain necessary ECAD constraints and ensure they are followed. Assists senior level Electrical Engineers (EE) with design, testing, and debug of electronic parts and components. Develops skills through hands-on training and completing basic EE assignments. Produces technical documentation. 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Basic proficiency in reading and understanding specifications, data sheets and other technical documents. Basic ability to write and analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, tech plans and documentation. Basic proficiency with electrical simulation tools; understanding of the different tools available for simulation. Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuit theory and principles. Basic understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products and competitor' offerings. Basic ability to identify potential product weakness, and be able to provide design guidance and recommendations for improvements to subsequent redesigns. Undergraduate degree and 0-2 years relevant experience.

Required Skills: 2+ years experience with vehicle electrical system layout and harness design Core knowledge of engine or gen-set electrical system design practices including layout, component/connector selection, and electrical harness manufacturing techniques Understanding of basic vehicle mechanical operations Understanding of starting, charging, engine and generator operations Demonstrated ability to initiate, drive project deliverables, and communicate both written and verbally Demonstrated ability to coordinate project tasks and members of a small team Experience with 3D modeling and design software (Pro/E preferred) Desired Skills: Knowledge of CANBUS Systems including J1939 and ISO11783 Experience with electrical system design tools such as Pro/E, AutoCAD, E3, RSD, etc Experience with PDM systems such as PDMLink, Teamcenter, etc Hands-on soldering, splicing, terminating and troubleshooting of electrical systems

BS - Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Agricultural Engineering (AE), or relevant work experience
