Reservations should be based on a combination of merit and Income, Not on basis of Caste/Religion. That is where the one major aspect of country's growth lies. So I hope some one someday will reform this old constitution .

But i feel seats shud be allocated just based on merit then once you enter thru merit then give waivers to economically low students.

Education anedi caste  or religion chusi reservation ivadam kadu dude its should be purely on merit, but there should be a consideration for people who are not able to afford their education due to insufficient earnings in the family.

If SC/ST/BC/OC/MUSLIM/CHRISTIAN any one in India is earning more than 56-75K a year with a family then their children should be given some scholarship study. ( for mentioning about caste which i dotn even like to talk about) warningnf

Ambedkar has written it long back to follow the caste and other stuff for few years for empowerment of poor and backward classes but politics and caste leaders are taking it as an advantage to gain votes and money by all means.

I have a friend of mine who is an SC his father is Chief Engineer in a company he honestly says that he don't deserve a scholarship because they are lot of poor people who deserve it.

If an SC is a crorepati then what is the sue of scholarship and reservation for him waste of our money(which we pay to govt in terms of tax

), and if an OC who has no money but if he cant go for further studies bcoz of his forward caste then what the hell one need a caste reservation. how fair it is in use in these scenarios. Itz only india politicians who are capitalizing on this issue to survive who least thinks abt peoples welfare.

So i conclude that it Education in any institution should be MERIT and for economically backward people irrespective CASTE or Religion.

I hope it's a very wrong decision, those days of ambedkar constituency are gone, even lower cast people are earning a lot

the reservation shd be based only on merit many upper class cast people are loosing chance because of this cast reservation.

I would like to share my real time experience

my friend(OC group) got a good rank in AIEEE(below 5,000) but he haven't got any seat in NIT's where as my other friend in (SC caste group) got a seat in NIT that in CSE branch where his rank was(above 50,000)

that's really unfair so, i hope reservation shd be on merit based rather than cast based
