The Venkateshwara Guha located in Yaganti has an idol of Lord Venkateswara. The idol here is damaged for reasons unknown and hence it cannot be worshipped. The cave is quite easily accessible when compared with the Agastya cave which has steeper steps. The idol is said to have been there even before the Tirumala Temple was constructed. This temple is mentioned as an alternative to Tirumala Temple in Verabrahmam’s Kalagyanam.

There are many natural caves located in Yaganti in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. They are located at a distance of 100 kms from the district head quarters. It is a great pilgrim site and main caves here include the Sanka, Venkateswara, Rokalla and the Veerabrahmam caves. Potuluri Veera Brahmam was a sooth sayer and he made many predictions in his Kalagnanam which are written on the walls of the cave give us an insight to the history of the caves.

The Pothuluri Veera Brahmendra Swamy Guha is one of the cave is Yaganti. Brahmendra was a kalagyani, which means he predicted many events that he assumed will happen in the future. His works the “Kala Gyaanam” is written on the walls of this guha. The height of the cave is a low and it is not possible to enter the cave upright. His prophecies in the “Kalagyanam” are very much popular in Andhra Pradesh

To add to what our friend has said, The Lord Venakteshwara swamy temple doesnt have a Garuda deva infront of it, and this is the only temple which doesnt have a garuda deva . It said that yaganti is a place where eagles are prohibited and we will not see a eagle there.
