[*]BS degree in CS or relative experience
[*]2+ years experience in Object Oriented Development
[*]Knowledge of the SDLC and SAAS infrastructure
[*]Knowledge of BASH and a few other scripting languages
[*]Knowledge of a few different languages, at least one in depth

[b]You should have most of these[/b]

[*]Experience with Tomcat and Apache or IIS
[*]Experience with load balancers (e.g. nginx, Amazon ELB, some other crazy stuff you like that isn't written in obfuscated perl)
[*]Exposure to Ruby, Java, NodeJS, and Chef or Puppet
[*]Can do some SQL (no – you don't have to be a dba, but if you are that's awesome)
[*]Know what A/B testing and canary testing are, and what a smoke test is
[/list]
[b]You should be able to[/b]
[list]
[*]SSH onto a server and debug your own code (yeah – we have to list this as a requirement, no we don't want to talk about it)
[*]Review Developers SQL commands and know when it's going to be a problem
[*]Come up with a cool design for deploying something with 0 downtime
[*]Help train new Infrastructure Engineers coming over from Operations in good coding practices
