What is your criteria in selecting your representative (MLA, MP, etc.)?
What should be the basic eligibility criteria for a representative? (Education, previous work, vision for his people, etc.)
How do you choose your candidate? (Party wise or Persona wise or whatever).
How many of us have an idea either on the number of candidates contesting for a seat or on their back ground. Aren't we responsible for choosing the best candidate?

This website http://myneta.info/ gives us basic information on the candidates contesting for a election, which is taken from the nominations filed by them. Though this is not a complete website, it is a first step towards providing information.
