[font=times new roman,serif]The engineer will work in the IT Platform Development team and be responsible for design, development, unit testing, and post-release support of applications that are used by a variety of customers as well as internal users at Salesforce.com. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly, work in a fast paced, team driven environment, and have the ability to communicate well with non-technical staff.

[b]Responsibilities[/b]
- Design, and develop solutions on [url="http://force.com/"][color=#0000FF]Force.com[/color][/url][/font] Platform-as-a-Service, using Apex programming language and Visual Force MVC.
- Develop software solutions using Java (SE & EE), Salesforce.com API framework, and 3rd part APIs.
- Improve architecture and optimize performance of very complex software systems. Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Work with Quality Assurance to help design, plan and automate functional and performance testing.

[b]Required skills[/b]
- 3+ years Java application development experience (J2SE and J2EE)
- 2+ years SQL experience, including PL/SQL and Oracle 9i/10g
- Proficiency in SQL & PL/SQL tuning and query optimization techniques
- Experience with web programming including JSF and JSP.
- Experience with Web Services development
- Experience building usable and scalable systems or applications.
- Strong object oriented design skills and experience using design patterns.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work on multiple projects against aggressive deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or electrical engineering.

[b]Very desirable skills[/b]
- Experience working on Force.com. Proficiency in Apex and Visual Force
- Experience developing e-commerce portals

De[b]sirable skills[/b]
- Experience developing business process related applications or integrations.
- Grasp of general back-office business processes and specifically Quote-to-Cash process.
- Java Tuning (memory and performance management, memory leaks, crash forensics).[/size]
