I developed Android app. Do you have the softwares installed?
1.Eclipse.
2. If you want to develop an open source app then you can use bitbucket as the source control.
3. egit is the plugin which communicates 1 and 2.
4. 2 or you can also use ODK(google) as an SC

If you did basic programming in java then it should be very easy. This is the website I used http://developer.android.com/index.html , frankly!
