dotnetrockz Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 i was a victim of 2008 recession....i knew it was comming before head(my cousins,brother everyone warned in mid july 2008 ) that there will be a varse effect on all industries and jobs and many of them were filing bankruptcy but neither tehy didnt discourage for my graduation.they said if u have enough potential u can still get a job..and i for a mtter of fact was not ready to stay back in school(i didnt have a chance too).... but still it was worse in early jan 2009..desi consultancies stopped recruiting candidates...u guys who graduated now wont believe there were people from good universites requesting employers to issue a letter that they are employed and are ready to pay upto $500.... being on opt was one good thing i did(i guess so)...not tax cuts,,,no payroll....atleast they provided a free accomodtaion....and as usual we had our great ciri cards...so didnt really suffer financially...but it was a mental struggle,,employers were keen on sending H1B's back to india if they didnt find a proj in very limited time.... very sad story i heard which made me emotionally dull(not that i dont have a job) was there used to be a women who used to work in a insurance firm...with thereccesion she was not able to pay the mortgage and she was laid off.....sad thing was she hired a trailer attached to truck and used to live in that until she found a low rented appt.... good things were i made some good friends(they were like close to 30's and i was almost 6-7 yrs younger). one guy attended like 12 interviews in a span of 3-4 months but cudn't get a job...he was shipped back to india by my employer other guys marriage was called off bcoz he didnt have a job...he'z a gud guy now works as a lead in india. one north guy he guided me so well...he always insisted that i modify his resume and he'd take the call and provide support.... and another north guy he taught basics and would provide me refernces.... i really felt that everyone's life has some dark days..and i had one too ......

[/quote] inti inti ramayanam bhayya. 2008-2010 lo evarni kadilinchina ilanti story ney. i know a family guy with a wife and 2 kids. maa consultancy guest house pakka intlo undeyvaadu. 2008 starting lo first time kalisa athanini. benz car. okka range life. 2009 lo same guy gas station lo pani chesadu 2-3 months.
