Well since the crust mantle interface (asthenosphere) is plastic in reactivity you would probably not be able to breach it as it would return fill your hole. Surmising that you made it though into the mantle the temperature would melt just about anything you were trying to dig with plus the inherent radiation would cook you. If you actually made it through the mantle to the mantle core interface the liquid outer core would come spewing up and you'd be really ed. Plus the dynamo action of the inner core outer core activity would make direction finding impossible and you might just come back up parallel to your original course, or get lost in the outer core until your air supply ran out.

ha ha haaa good question... alaa hole dig cheyyagalamo ledo naaku teliyadu kaani..
