..this can be re written as

=>(1+1)-1)+((1+1)-1)
since, we know 1+1 = ? given by Pinky madam, we can write the above equation as

=> (?-1)+(?-1) => 2?-2

take 2 common from above => 2(?-1)

Answer = 2(?-1) where ? varies from 0 to 2 and the equation holds good unless ? # 1
