pinky123 Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 Some challenges in Scrum (from personal experience): - Distributed Teams: Standups and Planning are a main concern - Standups can become boring and monotonous after time. So, sometimes it can be useful to switch from a round-table fashion to a round-task fashion. So, now team talks about their inputs about each task instead of what each of them did on a certain day. - Changing Requirements: Often times, Agile methodologies see a fair share of change in requirements since the flexibility to do so is easy compared to a Waterfall model. - Not considering non-code activities like research, meetings, etc... into the Story effort. - Improperly groomed product backlog: Helping the Product Owner groom the log in a better way. - When the team is new to Sprint methodology, people in the team are typically not used to taking the responsibility for task execution and the decision to take a task and define how he/she will implement it. - Shallow Feedback - Functional Organizations is one of the largest impediments in my opinion. They create barriers for communication.

[/quote] AFAIK, enterprise level companies do not prefer open-source ones. JIRA is the one which I have seen being adopted the most..
