Required Skills:

Sybase IQ version 12 and 15.x Migrations/Upgrades within an IQ database Experience pulling data into the structure as well as maintaining the structure Data Warehouse background Design – dimensional modeling Star schema is a plus - %= years of experience with IQ.

Hands-on Sybase IQ 15.x required.

Summary: Responsible for coordinating changes to computer databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database. Education/Experience• Bachelor's degree/equivalent in computer science, math or related field • 7+ years data processing experience, including 4 years systems development experience and 3 years DBA experience or 3 years of data administration experience• Experience in database design and database programming or data/object administration Skills and Competencies:• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time • Knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Oversees projects / products from inception to successful delivery • Provides technical leadership and responsibility for technical excellence on all projects/initiatives • Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications• Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions • Perform other duties as assigned.
