Super Star krishna was supposedly to be cast as Sooryam in Khaidi. Seems he was not happy with the title and the characterisation of Sooryam.
To our luck, Kodanda Ramireddy cast mana megastar in it and rest is history.

Though the story has been from a novel called as Malladi.
The characters can be referenced to many Peter Sellers movies.
'Pandu Ranga Rao' alias 'James Pond' character seems to be picked from Sammo Hung's character in 'Wheels on Meals' which stars 'Jackie Chan'.

they both directed chiru later, lawrence for one scene in Style, prabhudeva for shankar dada zindabad.

[b]ANJI [/b]

Anji movie was started in the year 1997 and it was released in 2004.
It took 7 years in making this magnum opus with graphics being the key reason.
It was the first Indian movie to have rendered 3D animation. It ended up winning National award for their efforts.

Though the story concept is original, action sequences and several scenes have been picked from Hollywood movies such as "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" and "Romancing the Stone".

Initially Mega Star was supposed to enact Lord Shiva in the climax were he destroys the villain. Later Shyam Prasad Reddy decided to use the graphics using Bapu' art to depict Lord Shiva's presence.

The music for the song "ChikkuBukku Pori" was composed by 'Sri' who also sang the song, but in the Audio it was not credited and it was revamped by ManiSharma who was credited with the song.
In the movie, the actual song sung by 'Sri' is used. Perhaps the time of release they did not want to mention multiple Music Directors. Also Mani Sharma was on high those days..

chiru was fondly called as 'julapaalodu' during his early days in cinema.

In one of muralimohan's movies, chiru danced for an item song only and producer promised him 1116 for that.
this song comes during wedding reception of muralimohan and heroine (not able to remember movie name now)

but later he didnt pay and when chiru went to his office asked for money, producer gave a 'fan' and said use this fan.. i dont have any money now.

chiru kept that 'fan' in his room.
it rarely worked and always made loud sound.
