Estory - 2 : Uncompatibility

Hi All,

I was a silent reader from few weeks and I like to see that this is one place where one can vent out their feelings and there are people who understand them too. I would like to share mine too and see if I can get any replies which I can apply in my married life.

We were married an year ago(arranged marriage). I'd conceived immediately after the marriage and we have a baby now. we met few times before we got married, I initially he was nice to me showed care, i felt attracted to him. But as we came to know that we are having a baby it was like a series of this that continued. My pregnancy was not easy had health issues and I was working till 8th month. So we never got a chance to know each other completely at all. He lived alone before marriage for like 3 years in US. I was here too working after my masters. We happened to meet through parents and decided we get married and we did.

Now, my concern is my husband doesnt talk or share anything with me -- work,friends family anything for that matter. The only thing we discuss is how to manage money like how to financially manage through a month.

He is reserved, doesnt talk much doesnt like jokes even if i try to make him talk or im in a happy mood hell always not join me at all...i become sad immediately....hes harsh with his words like he cannot talk nicely without hurting the opposite person (now being his wife). He talks to his mom,dad family,friends secretivly in a closed room and expects me not to be around.this is ok for me but i get annoyed sometimes....

When I try to make him talk he just answers the quesiton and keeps quiet. when hes home he just likes to watch,tv or work he doesnt talk at all. I feel as though im just a cook and a machine to earn money not even like a room mate. His parents are here not they had come to help me with the delivery. they are ok types meaning i have issues with mil but ive slowly learnt simply to ignore and be deaf to what she says. I am very ncie to them and treat them just like my parents. but issues come up and i think i am slowly learning how to deal with them...but with my husband even if i start a conversation it ends up with an answer from his side. no further discussion or talks!!!

now that i have a baby, im hardly having time but still i try to balance with my work and make sure im taking good care of my husband he doesnt really care at all....very close to his mom but never shares antyhing with me.....

i know this is basically every womans story but i get frustrated sometimes as to not knowing how to deal with him....i keep my patience and try to be sweet and nice to him....he never understands or opens up to me...he cannot express at all but he says he loves me...which i cannot feel at all....we just celebrated our first anniversary and i was atleast expecting a small gift from him nothing big or expensive but like 2 days before he said im not expecting any gifts for the anniversayr so i said me neither! but i alsways buy him gifts for bday valentines day and i did for the anniversary too....im telling he shud buy me expensive stuff but anything that shows he cares for me is all what i want.....we fight on tiny issues and he says we are not compatible....he cannot talk much to me etc

i just feel happy looking my babys lovey face once i get home....just hanging in here and hoping this will get better..thanks
