Question On Cpt - Please Help

usual ga nenu, respond avvanu...but thought u may take my advice, this is my experience (i use CEEEEEEpeeeeeTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT)

1. U need to be on F1 for a complete ACADEMIC year - 2SEMS (MEANS 3cources X 2 sems)
2.364 days is the max limit, if you wish to utilise OOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPTTTTTTTTTTTTT, else no one cares.
3.pre - ooppppppppppttttttttttttt is not an option to u, only college leni samayam lone adi cheyyochu (or break time lo aina valid - optional financial / medical necessity).
4.Boku college aitene, neeku CEEEEEEEEEPPEEEEEEETTTTTTT avasaram, academic ga ani cheptadi...ledante (technically and chatta prakaram) - job, field of study integral part aitene work out avuddi ------------ in simple terms, boku college cccccccccccccpppppppttttt iste, nuvvu ye branch or ye vudyogam chudakunda istayi...

so, mundu college vadini, kanukko..appuudu...move avvu..
else u will losse lot of money and waste of time

CPT is supposed to be only part time..means 20Hr per week...if u r doing it for Full time...40Hr per week...u will be granted 12 months..kaani OPT assam...endukante... ur indirectlyh using up ur OPT ani ardham..

Who cares abt auburn univ policies when you are not part of it?

As i said, CPT for 12 months with 40 Hr a week having the employer around 90 miles from university ( Gov go easy on last one ) is completely legal for eligible courses.

40Hr per week..is possible in CPT only if u r off college.. ( I mean Summer lo...) apart from that u r not eligible to work for full time 40Hrs during college..even if u have completed ur course requirements.

in case 40Hrs a time lo work chestanu ante....the once the CPT stipulated time (of 20hrs per week is over) ur OPT count starts.....by default..adi neeku univ vallu suggest cheyali..

or else OPT apply chesinappudu....time takkuva istadu like only 9 months or so..and in some cases direct ga reject chestaru...


a problems anni enduku ani i suggested that way...malli repoddune OPT rejhect aindi ani inko taadu padakunda........

If by fortune your major gets you 12 Months of CPT, dont utilize it compeltly, cut down couple of weeks and apply OPT ( Depends on Univ, my univ dont encourage Pre - OPT, its always POST).

Dude , I , MYself, ME, nenu 40 hrs CPT for 11 months 24 days chesanu and that too not summer, you have register a course in school fopr single credit ( Mine was for capstone project) and than POST OPT apply chesi, Stem apply chesa.

CPT and OPT (not STEM) is varis from school to school.

CPT lo work cheyalante you should attend classes.
Usualy u can work only part time in regular semester i., 20 hours a week.

U can work 40 hours a week in summer as it is not mandatory to take summer classes in sme universities.

Dont expect to work full time while you are in CPT.

Wrong statement chitti malla.Pre Opt anedhi nuvvu gpa takkuva ayi grad kaka ,leka any peculiar situations lo unte pre opt istharu.

bhayyas.....maa roomies MS vallu okadu thesis inkokadu non-thesis...both worked full time in cisco in their last sems......iddaru continuation ed fee pay chesi 40 hrs chesaru spring lo....no issues in doing 40 hrs cpt even during semester
