TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and controversies go hand-in-hand. In the meeting organized to pay tributes to Prof. Jayashanker on his birth anniversary, KCR stated that Andhra's Telugu Talli is a devil for Telanganites. "Telugu Talli is our devil. If the mother of Seemandhra is Telugu Talli, for Telanganites it is Telangana Talli," he opined.

The TRS president poked fun at Andhra poet Nannaya saying that he just translated the Mahabharata from Sanskrit to Telugu and so he should be referred as the 'dubbing' writer. He also found fault with the Sri Krishna Committee report which reported 40 lakh people of Seemandhra are live in Hyderabad.

KCR accused Seemandhra people of evading taxes by pointing out the statistics. According to him, around 72 percent of the total revenues of the state are coming from the 10 Telangana districts with the population of 3 crore and only 28 percent of the revenues is contributed by the 5.5 crore people from the remaining 13 districts of Seemandhra. He stressed that the even if Hyderabad was excluded, the revenues of other 9 districts is much higher than that of Seemandhra. No doubt that KCR's comments will heat up the political situation in the state and a strong criticism from Seemandhra is expected.
