that is not correct

He did not condemn the arrest and to fight for mercy

cong requested him(Bhagat) to sign the mercy petition which he rejected

And when Gandhi was approached he said he is helpless unless he(Bhagat) signs the mercy petition

But if we goto ifs and buts
