I used to have two kickers 1500 Watts each behind a sony 2000 watt amplifier in my 1996 Honda civic. Had it for an year in sophomore year.

Here are few brands I recommend:
1) Kicker Subs
2) Rockford Fosgate subs.
3) JL Subs

Amplified doesn't really matter but dont get some cheap ######.

Get them tuned well, it takes few days to break them in, if they are brand new, but once they are broke in, all the three brands I just told you should beat the ###### down...

P.S: I had to sell mine because it started rattling the whole car. The first day I bought it, I still remember, I had the windows down and the beat cranked up, and the change in the grocery store cash register was rattling... ###### was ridonculous man.
