when people are dying, when people are failing, when people are devastated, they(dont know who they are) believed that for human beings there should be some thing which will make them feel happy, make them feel secure, make them feel motivated, make them feel strong to achieve things. So, they(again they) thought something like some form of omnipotent, omnipresent, immortal will make them feel good. This made them to create a god - some believe that god exists and some dont. All in all, atheists believe this as some force which will make humans happy. Yes, they need this quintessential delusion- well, this is called Hope.

I come up with my ideology now ...earlier days people used to believe that the elements ( like water , fire and all ) which they can not create are externally created by some unknown force ( the super power or god )..So they started worshipping those elements and the creator of those elements ( which is non existing as per my belief...as per athiests it's god )..still we are following that tradition now , for example in Hindu tradition , we use fire as god...when we can create Fire , is it still acceptable to worship it as a god ?

it depends on which one you choose.

I would choose god always existed.
and one more thing you belief in god should not be influenced by the outcome of your wishes.

It's the other way.
They believed that those elements are created by god and started chanting. Now, due to the advancements in technology, we were able to create fire, but it never appeared to the people that once we thought god created fire is false. What we follow is tradition whether it is right or wrong is secondary. So, they worshiped them, we will worship them, and so will the descents. indhulo em marpu undadhu..hope dec 2012 will hamper this.

I am sorry , it should be theists...as far as my knowledge is cocerned , revolving around the sacred fire has been included as a tradition in the marriage , just because Hindus belive that Fire is a god !
