Hero Balakrishna is known to be a strict disciplinarian. He also expects his friends and colleagues to maintain discipline all the time.

Balakrishna also unwinds after a hard day's work with a peg or two of his favorite brand. It is quite common in the industry for heroes to get punch drunk. Liquor flows freely at the guesthouses after the day's shoot is over. The top heroes also get their favorite brand of expensive imported liquor courtesy, the producer.

But Balakrishna is different. He has this special attachment to his favorite brand. He only prefers to drink 'Mansion House' Brandy. The brand is very inexpensive; a full bottle hardly costs 300 rupees.

An actor of Balakrishna's stature can afford to drink the choicest of scotch and malt whiskies specially flown in for him from around the world. But Balayya never touches any other brand other than 'Mansion House' Brandy. Even if a party is going on at a seven star hotel, he prefers to drink only 'Mansion House' Brandy mixed with warm water.

He also sticks to just two pegs every day. He never goes overboard and downs the bottle. His discipline in this regard is quite commendable
