He was allegedly shot by Vijay Veer Yadav, who did not want to pay the [/font][/color][color=#000000][font=RupeeForadianRegular][size=4]Rs.[/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Georgia,] 27 toll ticket.[/font][/color] [color=#000000][font=Georgia,]The shooting and Umesh's death was recorded on the toll booth's CCTV camera.[/font][/color] [color=#000000][font=Georgia,]Umeshkant, has left behind his parents, wife and two brothers - Rishikant and Dineshkant. Rishikant is mentally challenged and Dineshkant is physically challenged.[/font][/color] [color=#000000][font=Georgia,]Their story moved NDTV viewers to help this family in need and they have collectively deposited nearly 20 lakh rupees in Umesh mother's bank account. Needless to say, the family is overwhelmed.[/font][/color] [color=#000000][font=Georgia,]Umeshkant's father Rajkumar Pandey says, "I am thankful to NDTV for highlighting this story and to those who have helped us by sending us money."[/font][/color] [color=#000000][font=Georgia,]The story of Umeshkant's senseless killing was a story that touched hearts everywhere. After seeing the news of his killing, help has started pouring in from India and abroad. Several people with donations have been calling to give. On average 1.5 lakh rupees has been deposited each day in Umeshkant's mother's account.[/font][/color] [color=#000000][font=Georgia,]It's not just the wealthy, or those who are earning that are donating. Bank officials tell tales of touching stories of those who are still taking money out of their accounts, despite having precious little for themselves.
