[b] Job Summary[/b]


Under general supervision, design and execute a variety of computational experiments for data analytics using machine learning, data mining and predictive modeling approaches that involve large and complex biomedical and healthcare datasets. The tasks include implementation and maintenance of complex data mining, machine learning and causal discovery algorithms, documenting them clearly, testing them on simulated and real-world datasets and generating experimental results.
[b] Position requirements:[/b]

1. Documented ability to program in MATLAB and C/C++ is required.
2. Experience with Java, Perl/Python and R/S+ would be highly desirable.
3. A BS in computer science or a closely related field such as electrical engineering or applied mathematics is required. A Masters degree is preferable.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. Ability to work on different projects simultaneously with enthusiasm and creativity.
6. Interest in working in an academic research setting.
Compensation will be based on qualifications, skills and experience.
