But.. there is a catch! For each chair that any celebrity needs to sit on, they have to pay between 3 to 5 grands. (Even the menus at Vanity Fair or post-Oscar paty is also for sale, but I'm not sure how much!)Even the nominees have to pay for their seat! But when you see the ceremony, you won't see any empty seats. That's because they calculate the number of empty chairs, (not sure how many days before the ceremony) and they seat some good looking and well dressed unknown people that are paid as extras just as they would be on movie sets. That's why you see a packed theatre which also looks good on camera!P.S. Any nominee can sell their seat pretty much to anyone for 10 grands, but hello! This is National TV. I don't think I would exchange my image as a nominee for 10 grands!)
