With the Telangana fever catching up in New Delhi, the Seemandhra leaders are making all out efforts to prevent the Centre from taking any decision in favour of separate Telangana state.[/size][/font][/color][color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]
As part of their efforts, they are spreading a sort of fear psychosis among the Central leader saying that if the Telangana state is formed, the Bharatiya Janata Party would dominate the area and it would lead to communal tensions. They have gone to the extent of warning the Centre that the Telangana region might turn into another Assam, which has been witnessing communal tension for quite some time.[/size][/font][/color][color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]
In their representation to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Seemandhra MPs led by Kavuri Sambasiva Rao pointed out that the BJP had taken advantage of the TRS fielding a minority candidate in the recent by-elections to Mahbubnagar assembly seat and aroused communal passions. “If the state is divided, the BJP will definitely arouse communal feelings for petty electoral gains and disturb the very social fabric of the society. It is evident from the Mahbubnagar by-polls in which communal feelings have defeated regional feelings,” the Seemandhra leader said.[/size][/font][/color][color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4]
