Maa employer september 1 st week lo H1-extension ki apply chesadu, inka naaku etuvanti acknowledgement kani receipt kani raledhu. Idhi main tension

Ippudu september 25th kalla naa driving license expire avuthundi, nenu upstate newyork lo untanu..okavela 25th lopala receipt vasthe DMV lo chupisthe temporary ga license isthara? Anyone of you all already have gone something close to this please advise...

Is there any other way I can get temporary license

You need the following documents along with the current DL

1) Employment verification / client letter
2) Extension Receipt Document
3) Recent Paystub (including address)...
4) Passport with stamping.

BMV/DMV will take a xerox copy of all those documents and will give you temporary DL for 240 or 365 days depending on the state.

One of my friend got his new dl recently with the above documents.... he tried through third party license dealers/vendors... not the main dmv office or branch.. rules may change depending on state...

Prathi state lo different itlanti case lo rules.... NY gurinchi idea ledhu but, nenu konni states lo choosina prakaram receipt should be good enough for a temporary license..... mee DMV ki poyyi nee case explain cheyyi

NY gurinchi idea ledhu kani .. it depends on DMV officer most of the times .. atleast na case lo aithe .. i797 form chuupisthe kani extn approve cheyyaledu .. so I had to wait like about 3months to get it done .. ma employer gadu delay chesi .. late ga file chesadu na H1 extn ni ..

FYI .. this happened to me in Texas
