**** GEETHA ARTS BUYING ENTIRE AP RIGHTS OF LEADER****

The stupendous success of ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Magadheera’ gave the much needed boost to Geetha Arts banner headed by ace producer, Allu Aravind. Geetha Arts has been on a roll over the past few months and has taken the mantle to promote several big budget films apart from producing films on their own. In the recent few months, Geetha Arts had bought the rights for film such as Mahatma, Avatar, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Komaram Puli’ and Mahesh-Trivikram’s latest film. The latest news is that Geetha Arts has clinched a deal with AVM Productions and Suresh Productions, late last night and has bought the complete AP rights for an undisclosed amount of Shekar Kammula’s upcoming film ‘Leader’. The deal could give the much needed boost to ‘Leader’ which is releasing later this month. Geetha Arts had hit the bulls-eye when it bought the entire distribution and promotion rights in Andhra Pradesh of ‘Avatar’ and the film was one of the biggest hits in 2009, especially for a dubbed film. With Geetha Arts backing ‘Leader’, expectations on this film high. Moreover, Geetha Arts is believed to have asked AVM Productions and Suresh Babu to postpone the release date of ‘Leader’ atleast by one week so that it would give them more time to promote the film. Apart from this, with Adhurs, Namo Venkatesa, Mayabazaar and Bindaas raking in good collection in prime cinema halls across the state, it will become difficult for blocking the best possible theatres for ‘Leader’. And then, there’s Nagarjuna’s ‘Kedi’ which is releasing on February 12th. Both AVM and Suresh Babu are considering these factors and a final decision on when the film would be releasing is expected shortly.

Rana Daggubati’s is making his debut with “Leader”. Shekhar Kammula has directed the film and it has been produced by M.Saravanan, M.S.Guhan, Aruna Guhan and Aparna Guhan under film under AVM Productions banner. ‘Leader’ is AVM’s 174th movie. Richa Gangopadhyay and Priya Anand are also making their debut in Telugu film industry. Shekhar Kammula, who has also written the story apart from directing this film, is said to be very confident about ‘Leader’. Mickey J Meyer has composed the music for this film. Thota Tharani is handling the art direction and production design and Vijay C.Kumar is handling the camera.
