Telugu Desam Party MP and politburo member Nandamuri Harikrishna, who has been keeping away from party activities for quite some time, made an appearance at the TDP extended executive meeting held at the NTR Trust Bhavan, much to the surprise of the party leaders and activists.
Harikrishna has been sulking for quite some time as he has been under the impression that his brother-in-law and party president N Chandrababu Naidu is deliberately ignoring him while taking crucial decisions such as padayatra. He was also not happy at the way Naidu was promoting his brother Balakrishna in the party and asking him to tour Krishna district without his knowledge. And Harikrishna is of the view that the party president is encouraging his son Lokesh Naidu to get into active politics, ignoring the talents of Junior NTR.
Under these circumstances, Harikrishna’s presence at the party meeting was a pleasant surprise to the party leaders. Apparently, by abstaining from the party meetings, he does not want to create an impression that there is a rift within the family. Perhaps, Harikrishna wants to convey to the activists that he is equally important in the party.
