By exploiting only a part of 235-acre mining area in Obulapuram, Gali brothers had made profits of over Rs. 10,000 crore since 2004. “When 51-hectare area alone there had iron ore worth Rs. 5,000 crore, what could be the mineral's worth in 56,690 hectares in Bayyaram. It would be a whopping Rs. 50 lakh crore!”. SCAM 4: Irrigation projects scams.

A scam of involving misuse of public money to the tune of Rs. 281 crore by engineers and water users' associations (WUA) in Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad and Warangal districts has been busted by teams of officers deputed by the government as part of an inquiry conducted at the High Court's instance. The inquiry report was submitted by the government on Friday to the High Court which ordered the probe while dealing with a Public Interest Litigation filed by an individual from Karimnagar district.

As many as 81 EEs of the Irrigation Department and several WUAs have been found prima facie guilty of siphoning off Rs.160 crore out of Rs.281crore provided by the government to implement 5,819 works to repair and rehabilitate canals and distributaries under Sriramsagar project.

Sixteen of the tainted engineers have already been suspended while similar action is being taken against the remaining persons.

Notices have been served on WUAs. Steps are also being taken to recover the embezzled amount from the engineers and the WUAs. The report said work executed by other departments and those which were incomplete and non-existent were shown as “completed”. 281 crores for canal management in three districts, we can come to a conclusiong if on Canal management only if there is 281 crores how much money would have been or being usurped by these YSR cronies.

It's a shame, YSR ruined and crippled the administration for his monetary benefits. The urea scam is being implemented for the benefit of mixing plants of YSR relatives.

These mixing plants are also cheating farmers with improper mix of Urea percentages inadvertently affecting crop and soil patterns. We need to clean the mess of YSR regime and Rosiah is doing a comendable job in cleaning the rot of the so called Messiah YSR.
