[b][color=#474747][font=Georgia,]One of the most awaited auctions in the state during Ganesh Idol Immersion time is Balapur Laddu auction. Considered as most precious and blessing, this Laddu fetched a record price this year ever since the start of auction in 1994.[/font][/color]

[color=#474747][font=Georgia,]This time, Ponnala Govardhan Reddy, son of an ex-sarpanch of Balapur has fetched the Laddu in an auction that shot up to 7.5 lakhs. Last year, the top bid is just 5.04 lakhs and a phenomenal increase of 2 lakhs is surely a record and shows how people feel are connected to Ganesh sentiment. 'My father always wanted to get that Laddu but due to poverty he has never got a chance. And, that determination made me rise strong and rich now, such that I can buy this Laddu', says Govardhan Reddy with tear filled eyes.[/font][/color]
