Illinois Earthquake: Chicago Feels Tremors Of 4.3 Magnitude Quake

MILWAUKEE - A small earthquake that shook northern Illinois was also felt by residents in Chicago, Milwaukee and parts of Indiana, Michigan and Iowa early Wednesday.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the 4.3-magnitude earthquake hit near Virgil, about 50 miles northwest of Chicago, at 4 a.m.

The Kane County Sheriff's Department in Illinois received scores of phone calls, but there are no reports of injuries or serious damage.
