for javac is u need JDK

to run java app locally u just need JRE

so instal JDK ..preferably latest version or advised version

it is not library missing

version problem anukuntanu

If u have any other java listallations pl check

or else goto ENV variable look for CLASSPATH and see what is there in class path

some times if u install oracle client etc...it will install old versions and sits in classpath

command propmt

java -version

and compare what version u installed and what is the output

1)Oracle some adobe applications installing older java versions and sitting in classpath
