Cgr Roars At Boxoffice Opening Weekend Collections Tops Rs 54 Cr

Tollywood movie Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu - CGTR featuring power star Pawan Kalyan and Tamannah in lead roles, has finished its opening weekend with overwhelming collection at the collection centres in AP, in other parts of India and overseas.
The movie has collected about Rs 54.19 crores at the worldwide Box Office in its four-day extended first weekend.

Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu, directed by Puri Jagannath has surpassed the box office collection record of Pawan Kalyan’s previous movie Gabbar Singh. GB collected Rs 42 crores at the worldwide Box Office in its opening weekend. Besides smashing the opening weekend’s record, it has become the first Tollywood movie to cross 50 crore mark in its opening weekend.

Opening weekend collection as quoted by Oneindia entertainment:
Rs 14.37 cr on Thursday
Rs 12.23 cr on Friday
Rs 13 cr on Saturday
Rs 14.59 cr on Sunday

CGTR was released on October 18 in 1,600 screens. It opened with an awesome response with the occupancy ranging from 95-100% in both multiplexes and single screens. But, the business of the movie slipped down on the second day due to the protest of TDP, YSRC and Pro-Telangana groups.

Following the protest, the director Puri Jagannath removed some controversial scenes and dialogues from Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu. The movie once again gained its crowd at the ticket counters. The collection shot up on Saturday and Sunday.
In USA, Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu opened well in its opening weekend. The collection has broken the collections of Karan Johar’s latest film SOTY – Student of The Year in the country.
